For many years we had a beautiful German Shepherd named Banook - she was truely part of our family. When we lost Banook to a sudden illness we felt a void - at first we were never going to have another dog. Then we heard about Shilohs and what a wonderful breed they are. We began to research the breed. We got a call from a breeder coming to Ontario for a litter evalution. When we saw the puppies and how the adult dogs interacted with each other, we were amazed. There were few breeders in Canada at that time. When we recieved a call telling us about a litter that had been born from Schell Shilohs and the story of Sheri Schell, we then decided we were ready to make a commitment and get a puppy. The rest is history!

We have been so blessed to have Gracie grace our lives, she continues to amaze us. She has many wonderful attributes and many have been passed on to the beautiful puppies she has produced. Then 2 years later came Avalon, a prodigy from Gracie's first litter. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. As well, we have added Montana, an easy going male with a fantastic disposition. Since Banook's passing, we have immersed into the world of Shilohs. Our name Koonab (which is Banook backwards) pays homage to a dog who left us with great memories as we continue to make new ones.
